Janitorial Services Technician- TS/SCI - CI POLY

Summary
The Janitorial Services Technician is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safety in a large office building environment. This role includes a wide variety of industrial cleaning-related tasks in office spaces, common areas, public restrooms, and windows, these include but are not limited to: cleaning, dusting, removing dirt and smudges on a variety of furniture, equipment, walls and floors, vacuuming and mopping floors; collecting and removing trash; inventorying and managing cleaning supplies and notifying company management when reorder is required, and to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for all building occupants. The position requires adherence to strict state and federal standards regarding the use of cleaning chemicals, solvents, and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
General Cleaning: Includes but is not limited to: thorough cleaning of all areas, items, furniture, fixtures, and floors in accordance with contract-specific requirements. Upon hire staff will be provided a comprehensive list of specific duties and requirements which they must acknowledge in writing before beginning work at the client site.
Checklists & Documentation: Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules and activity checklists. Document completed tasks and report results to management using company protocols.
Manage Cleaning Supplies and Equipment: Manage, inventory, utilize, and maintain all provided cleaning supplies and equipment.
Daily Reports: Complete and submit daily activity reports, detailing completed cleaning tasks, inventory of cleaning supplies used and remaining in stock, and noting any issues or repairs needed in the building.
Requirements:
Security Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
Experience: Prior experience in industrial janitorial services preferred, particularly in large office or commercial settings.
Security Eligibility: If required for support to applicable contracts, employee will be required to submit to a Department of Defense Personnel Security Clearance Background Investigation and a Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph. This will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and operate heavy cleaning machinery (e.g., floor buffers, vacuum cleaners).
Compliance & Safety: Strict adherence to all state and federal safety regulations, particularly those governed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Task Performance and Standards: Employees must also follow compliance and tasking standards that vary from contract to contract. Upon hire staff will be provided a comprehensive list of specific duties and requirements which they must acknowledge in writing before beginning work at the client site.
Must follow OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards for handling hazardous materials, including industrial cleaning chemicals and solvents.
Comply with Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) for the labeling and handling of hazardous chemicals, as well as training on Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Adhere to EPA guidelines for environmentally safe disposal of cleaning products and materials.
Adhere to specific standards as dictated by specific contract employee is assigned to support. Upon hire staff will be provided a comprehensive list of specific duties and requirements which they must acknowledge in writing before beginning work at the client site.
Attention to Detail: Must be thorough in cleaning tasks and ensure that spaces are left hygienic and hazard-free.
Documentation Skills: Ability to accurately complete and submit reports on cleaning activities and adhere to checklists.
Communication: Effective communication skills, able to report issues or hazards to supervisors.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Work Environment:
The Janitorial Services Technician will work in indoor office environment and outdoor common areas when required, often after regular business hours. The role involves exposure to cleaning agents and chemicals, and the need to use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
